The quarter northwest of the department constitutes the end of the basaltic
streams of volcanos of Auvergne.
Its top, the signal of Mailhebiau, culminate to 1469 meters. One finds
some glacial lakes there of which Saint-Andéol put in value in the movie
of Coline Serreau " the Beautiful Green ".
Covered of snow, and swept by torments it the winter,
it is the territory of estiveses the summer, of the transhumance of race
